press conference: improving the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S FRAMEWORK ON LYME DISEASE

Rossana Magnotta was joined by Dr. Liz Zubek and Dr. Melanie Wills at a press conference in Ottawa to respond to the government's draft framework it released last month on how to reduce Lyme disease-related health risks to Canadians. Unfortunately, the document is inadequate and has dramatically fallen short of the Lyme community's expectations. Rossana urged the Minister of Health to intervene and insist on patient experts being involved in the writing of the framework even if that means delaying the report to parliament. "This is the correct and ethical thing to do," she urged.
